Men's Track Athlete of the Week

Justin Switzer, Michigan
Jr., Waterford, Mich. / Kettering

At the Len Paddock Invitational, Switzer took fourth place in an 800-meter final which featured former Wolverine standouts and current professionals Nick Willis, Nate Brannen, and Andrew Ellerton.  The junior claimed the top collegiate spot with a career-best time of 1:48.48, which currently ranks 14th in the country.  The half-miler earned a regional qualifying mark and takes home his first career weekly award.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week

Ben Peterson, Minnesota
So., Cody, Wyo. / Cody

Peterson earned first-place honors in the pole vault at the Minnesota Open last weekend.  The sophomore's career-best vault of 16-10.75 (5.15) currently ranks 10th in the Midwest Regional and 38th in the country.  His performance also registers as the fifth-best vault in school history.  The Cody, Wyo., native garners his first career weekly award.
